Simphiwe Mthimunye, who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, says doctors at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital told her there was nothing they could do for her - and she should go home and wait for her death.
The 38-year-old Mthimunye from Secunda, Mpumalanga, spent a year travelling from one public hospital to another, desperately seeking treatment.
In December, she managed to get a CT scan at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital after she failed to get help from hospitals in Mpumalanga.
