In adjudicating asylum disputes, what emerges is the clear dividing line in the role of the courts, said Judge President of the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa, Dunstan Mlambo.
Mlambo was speaking on the role of the courts during a virtual event by the UN Refugee Agency on the topic: "The role of the judiciary in strengthening asylum and nationality systems."
He also also revealed that adjudicating asylum disputes often constituted a large part of the work in their jurisdiction and other jurisdictions.
