Overcome with emotion on the witness stand; one of the victims in the assault case involving eight presidential protection officers linked to Deputy President Paul Mashatile, said he lives in constant fear for his life.
In his witness testimony at the Randburg Magistrate's Court, the witness who cannot be named following a ruling from the magistrate, gave an emotional account on day two of the trial, of how the incident had left him traumatised.
He said that he was having sleepless nights, and that even seeing a police car triggers him. Visibly distressed, he expressed that even though he was grateful for his life, he was still scared.
