As the health department moves to ramp up testing and vaccination following the detection of the new Covid-19 subvariant, current dwindling support from the private sector is not a worry.
Health Minister Joe Phaahla announced the country would step up Covid-19 testing and genomic sequencing after the first case of a new Omicron subvariant, XBB.1.5, was detected.
He said the department was also set to revive its vaccination campaign, with additional booster doses for all adults expected to be approved within the next few days.
