Saturday marks the third day without electricity in parts of Pretoria East, following an explosion at the Mooikloof substation at approximately 23:00 on Wednesday.
The blast resulted in a fire that destroyed a transformer and distribution panels.
The City of Tshwane said in a statement: "The incident was caused by a fault originating from one of the 11kV power lines outside the substation."
