The DA in the Western Cape has taken its gripe with the Knysna Municipality to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) amid a service delivery crisis in the municipality.
The party has reported the troubled municipality to the commission following a disturbing incident where residents were supplied with contaminated drinking water after a body was found in a water reservoir.
The DA's provincial spokesperson on local government, Isaac Sileku, said the municipality's negligence in ensuring the safety and security of the reservoir was unacceptable.
