The University of the Western Cape (UWC) student who allegedly stabbed a Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) student over the weekend has been suspended by the institution.
UWC spokesperson Gasant Abarder confirmed that "the student has been suspended from campus and [his] private residence".
The man was arrested after he was caught on video allegedly stabbing the CPUT student outside a private student residence in Belhar, in the Western Cape, on Saturday morning.
