Three survivors of a bus crash, which claimed the lives of six people and injured 30 others, were students on their way home after protests turned violent at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
They were travelling home to Port Elizabeth after the protests forced CPUT to suspend teaching and evacuate students from their residences.
Student, Iphithule Sigola, said a passenger died in her arms.
