The DA in the Western Cape was forced to abandon its public hearing on the controversial Provincial Powers Bill on Tuesday evening after the ANC disrupted proceedings in Moorreesburg, in the Swartland.
The commotion started after ANC supporters arrived in Moorreesburg to protest against the ongoing public hearings, amid a heavy police and law enforcement presence.
The ANC's Pat Marren, who was present at the hearing, said things became rowdy when the DA wanted to evict ANC members.
