Why two MK Party rallies in the Eastern Cape were cancelled

Divisions are seemingly emerging in the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party in the Eastern Cape after two planned rallies in the province, on the same day, were cancelled at the 11th hour.

MK Party leader Jacob Zuma was scheduled to address the two rallies in East London and Gqeberha, according to circulated social media posters. 

The rallies were planned for Saturday at NU2 Stadium in Gqeberha, and at GNF Auditorium in East London.
