Based on the available evidence, aliens are probably not among us, experts said this week. But that evidence is being made more widely available, and new unexplained incidents will be more closely scrutinised, dramatically increasing the odds that weird stuff might be explained, one way or the other.
It remains to be seen how many people will believe the explanations.
