As South Africa's International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor travelled to Tehran this weekend, the United States' top diplomatic and military officials spoke of what amounts to preparations for war with Iran.

In one media appearance, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said his country was concerned that proxies for Iran could attack American interests or people.
