The pair has joined forces in their new single WAP and Cardi has revealed how their respective wardrobe stylists put them in contact with each other.

"My stylist, my wardrobe stylist, he linked up with her wardrobe stylist and they were like, 'You know, we were having such a good time and we were talking about you guys. Yo, when are you guys ever going to link up? What's going on? What's good?'," Cardi tells Tidal's Elliott Wilson.

The 'WAP' video features cameo appearances from the likes of Kylie Jenner and Normani, but Cardi admits it can sometimes be tough to collaborate with other big-name stars.

She says, "A lot of collabs that I haven't made yet – it's really because of my shyness."

Cardi B has also recently heaped praise on Nicki Minaj for "dominating" the rap scene.

She was speaking about women in the music industry when she seemingly referenced Nicki’s run of success.

Speaking to Apple Music, Cardi says, "When I was younger, around the age of eight, there were a lot [of] different female rappers and then there was a time where there were no female rappers at all."

She continues to say she has to keep replaying songs from the early 2000s because there weren’t any rappers that were women but then one came along, seemingly referring to Nicki, that dominated for a very long time and is still dominating.
