The spotlight at the Four-Day Series game between the Warriors and KwaZulu-Natal Inland Tuskers may have been on Tristan Stubbs' 302*, but a return of even more significance transpired in the fixture.

The match marked Mondli Khumalo's return to first-class cricket after he was the victim of a brutal assault in Bridgwater on 29 May 2022 and was hospitalised at the Southmead Hospital Bristol.
