Cheetahs tighthead prop Aranos Coetzee will join English club Bath on loan and play in this season's Premiership Rugby.

Coetzee, who has played 132 games for the Cheetahs, will be with Bath from 1 August until 15 November 2022.

"Aranos is still under contract at the Cheetahs and will be providing a backup while Bath's tighthead is currently rehabilitating from injury," said Free State Cheetahs' CEO, Ross van Reenen.

"The Free State Cheetahs is glad to allow him to play in the English Premiership."

Coetzee made his debut for the side in 2016 and has more than 25 caps for the Namibian national team.

The Cheetahs' next matches will be in the Toyota Challenge in October this year, which will see Coetzee only return to the Cheetahs camp in early December before the first EPCR match.
