Bath Rugby have confirmed the signing of promising South African centre, Jordan Venter, who joins the club from Edinburgh with immediate effect.
Venter left South African shores late last year to join up with Edinburgh.
A former vice-captain of the South African Under-18 Sevens side, Venter played at school level for Paul Roos.
The move to Bath comes as Venter looks to continue to grow as a player.
"It’s a big honour to have signed for Bath as it’s a big club with a huge history and heritage," Venter told the Bath website.
"I’m excited to grow as a player here; this is where I want to be situated and give 110 percent to and if I can contribute in any way it will be amazing.”
Bath director of rugby, Stuart Hooper said the club had their eye on the promising youngster for a while.
"Jordan is someone we have seen potential in for a long time. He is a young, dynamic centre, who can also play wing, and we have watched a lot of him," said Hooper.
"He is very ambitious, very hungry and has a lot of attributes we look for off the field too," he added.
Bath also confirmed that they had signed Welsh international Tom Prydie as injury cover.
