As South African rugby contemplates another decent if ultimately unfulfilling tilt at the Champions Cup crown, questions abound over whether the tournament would require structural changes - particularly logistically - to improve local franchises' chances of progressing deeper into the knock-outs.
It was only natural to make that assumption following last week's drama over the Bulls' travel arrangements for this past weekend's quarter-final against Northampton, a misadventure that disintegrated into a 59-22 defeat.
