The Nigerian Super Falcons were a deadly predator that pounced on Banyana Banyana with ease when Jermaine Seoposenwe graduated to the national team as a teenager 14 years ago.
But more than a decade later - Seoposenwe is now a decorated 30-year-old who has played for various clubs abroad and earned 100 caps while South Africa are the reigning African champions - that predator has lost its teeth and bite. Banyana are now at the top of the food chain.
Seoposenwe's growth in the national team set-up has mirrored that of Banyana's, with her success story embodying the development of South African football over the years.
