She turned recyclables into a fully-fledged business.

Phumzile Zama, founder of fashion accessory business Polka.dot.coco, found the beauty in chaos and that led her to create a brand to create employment opportunities for 18-year-olds released from orphanages once they legally become adults. 

The brand was inspired by the work she did at an orphanage ten years ago. Saddened by the reality of the older orphans being let go when they reach the age of 18, the businesswoman says she knew this was her calling after seeing a social gap within her community.
