Beauty Review: Revlon PhotoReady Eyeshadow

I’ve never been a fan of wearing too much make-up. My ideal look is a little bit of lipgloss, some light eyeshadow and mascara. That’s when I feel prettiest.

I also don’t go from one eyeshadow palette to the next. Boring, I know!

But when Revlon’s PhotoReady Eyeshadow landed on my desk I couldn’t help but be super excited because even boring old me got, well, bored of using the same palette every day. And this new pressie on my desk was just so pretty!

And the best part? It’s been packaged in such a way that you don’t have to wonder which shade/colour goes where. The fact is, we’re not all professional make-up artists, so I’m sure you’ve also wondered “Where does the light shade go, and where do I use the darker one?”

Well, this co-ordinated eye palette takes the guesswork (and potential make-up disasters) out of the equation. It’s like colouring by numbers, and just as fun too. Especially when you use the end product and almost can’t believe that you applied it all by yourself!

The texture of the powder is probably the best part. It’s almost velvety and the pigment is really strong, which means the colours are super bright and stay on for ages.

Getting the look is easy:

Step 1: The primer smooths lids, creating the perfect canvas.
Step 2: The highly pigmented shadows can be used wet or dry to create varying colour intensities
Step3 L The sparkling top coat adds extra dimension and drama!

It retails for R179 is available at selected pharmacies and department stores. I can't wait to buy my next one!
