According to Byrdie, a study from Herbal Essences concluded that a simple and effective way to eliminate stress is by just turning on the faucet. Yes, by showering. The study surveyed 1000 women between the ages of 18 to 35 in the US and nine out of ten of prefer to escape via their morning showers.
It makes sense as the shower is the only place where you’re alone and have your thoughts to yourself, almost like a think-tank that’s literally filled with water. The refreshing hot water splashing on our faces and bodies is comforting and a very therapeutic place.
After a pleasant shower, we tend to be more at ease and ready for the hectic day that lies ahead. Despite it being a great way to contemplate our daily struggles and emotions, the type of products we use to cleanse ourselves can be just as important.
According to the infographic below, 85% of women who use shower products mainly because of its scent are more likely to have an active social and intimate life. Scented products leave us refreshed and confident wherever we go.
