Celebrate yourself this Women’s Day!

Ackermans knows that being a woman comes with it’s own challenges.

Whether you’re a mom, a sister, a wife, a girlfriend, a daughter, a co-worker or a friend, you probably take on many roles to many people and have to always stay on top of your game.

So, in celebration of real women everywhere, they’re trying something new.

For their August dresses campaign, they’ve looked no further than the real, proud women who make up some of their staff members!

When the Ackermans marketing gurus were in search of models for this important campaign, they realised that they need look no further than the fabulous real women who are part of the Ackermans family.

This was no easy task as they were spoilt for choice, but their final selection is nothing short of spectacular. They chose 5 fabulous women to showcase their latest range of ladies’ spring dresses.

They chose women who are not supermodels but women who are role models. Each and every one of them epitomizes the values and reality of today’s diverse modern working women.

These ladies are moms, sisters, daughters, friends and colleagues, and Ackermans is proud to have them representing the brand.

How it all came together

After receiving nominations from fellow Phadimas (Ackermans staff members), and then further evaluating the models’ personalities and styles, they came up with 5 ladies who best epitomised the dresses that they were modelling.

It was important to them that the models were happy to participate and that the images would be a true representation of who these women are. Arthur Allison, the advertising specialist who headed up the campaign made sure that the ladies were well taken care of on the day and that they felt as comfortable as possible.
