Lauren Fleshman is an American athlete who’s won state championships, NCAA titles, USA Championships and finished as high as 7th in the World so far. She is also a sports model, a foodie, a blogger and an all-round inspiration.
Recently, she posted a picture of herself on the runway at New York Fashion Week.
Good golly, miss Molly!
But then, because she’s obviously incredibly cool with her body and her self-image, and because she’s obviously not someone who believes in all the media bullshit around women’s bodies, she posted a few less flattering pics of herself to show people what she normally looks like.
Those pics were taken in the same week as the fashion show, but just showed her normal posture. To be fair, in her “unflattering” pics she still looks the way most women only dream about, but then she is an Olympic athlete after all!
These pics are from her blog, which you really MUST read. She says:
“So there you go. Never take the photos you see on magazine covers or online too seriously. Everyone has thigh cheese. It’s part of life. Nobody is perfect.”
Thanks Lauren. And amen sister!
