These Awards acknowledge and applaud phenomenal businesswomen who are making a difference to their communities and helping to grow South Africa’s economy.
Members of the public are invited to submit nominations in the following categories:
• Entrepreneurs: Open to women who have owned and run their own profitable businesses for at least three years.
• Emerging Entrepreneurs: For those who have been operationally involved in a managerial capacity at their own businesses for at least one financial year.
• Professionals: Caters for women who have obtained a professional qualification in their industry and enjoy the accreditation of a professional body.
• Corporates: Open to women in senior positions that are excelling in the corporate world.
• Social Entrepreneurs: For businesswomen who apply practical, innovative and sustainable solutions that benefit society.
• Government: Caters for those employed in senior management or leadership positions at parastatals, educational institutions or local or provincial government.
Each award category has its own set of qualifying criteria to ensure that it properly reflects achievements by women in their specific spheres. Click here to see if your achiever meets these standards.
Finalist in last year’s awards and current judge Jacki McEwen of Eclipse Public Relations says, “Awards of this nature are important in that they raise awareness around the integral role that female leaders and businesswomen play in the development of all areas of our society.
