Amanda Bynes is forced to go to hospital

The fire department was called to a home in Thousand Oaks, California where Amanda was just chillin’ next to a fire she made in the drive way.

She wasn’t arrested, but was taken to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.

And, the day before that, she apparently tried to gain access to a retirement home nearby. She wasn’t arrested for this either, but the police did give her a good talking to.

TMZ interviewed the owner of the home where Amanda Bynes had blazed up and asked her “Do you know anyone by the name of Amanda Bynes, or why she would have some vendetta against you?” She said no.

The police then described to her that there was a young lady in her driveway, who had lit a fire and was carrying a “little red gas tank.” The homeowner says cops told her Amanda had burned part of her clothing.

And that isn’t all. Amanda accidentally poured petrol on to her little doggy while building the fire and then tried to rinse off her pet in a liquor store bathroom.

TMZ obtained footage of the incident and says the cashier told them he saw the troubled star rinsing the dog in the sink of the Employee’s Only bathroom, and that he could smell petrol.

When he confronted Amanda, she supposedly “freaked out” and left the store. She was arrested soon after.

And then, just before she was to be released from the hospital, doctors treating Amanda convinced a judge to extend her involuntary stay for another two weeks.

Doctors reportedly want the extension so they can have time to properly diagnose the actress, and because they believe she poses a danger to herself and others.

One of Amanda's lawyers also pleaded for her release in front of the judge, but the judge sided with the doctors.

Her mom reportedly filed a petition for conservatorship over the former child star.

We really hope Amanda gets some help before she shaves off all her hair (a la Britney), or needs to go to rehab (a la Lindsay).
