5 movie friends who are seriously just the worst

Lily, Nate and Doug – The Devil Wears Prada
Andy’s friends are really awful. They love when they get all the free swag that Andrea brings from Runway, but then they’re all unsupportive and seriously inconsiderate.

When Miranda calls Andy during the same scene, they grab her phone and then play keep away with it and, in turn, almost jeopardise her career.

Then, when Andy starts, you know, actually growing and becoming a successful career woman, they all get snippy with her because she’s now trying to focus on her career instead of them.

I mean, she has to work for a year, just one year at Runway and then she can get any job she wants, but asking for the support of her friends and boyfriend is apparently too much. Urgh.

Chenile – Save The Last Dance
Chenile really gets to Sara after Sara has a fight with Derek’s jealous ex-girlfriend, Nikki. Chenile tells Sara that while she didn’t approve of the fight, she understands why Nikki was upset since Sara, being a white girl, “stole” one of the few black men left in the area.  As a result, Sara breaks up with Derek. And all because Chenile was angry with the father of her child.

Janis and Damien – Mean Girls
Now, before you start shouting that they were Cady’s true friends, remember that they both only pretend to be Cady’s friend and use her naivety to try and get back at Regina George and The Plastics. They unknowingly end up turning her into one of them and are upset when they realise it. You weren’t her real friends in the first place. Why are you upset?!

Ferris Bueller -  Ferris Bueller's Day Off
I love Ferris, but he’s a real jerk. His best friend, Cam, is sick in bed and wants to be left alone, but Ferris insists that Cam join him for a fun day out and convinces Cam to steal his dad’s Ferrari. Ferris is so obsessed with what HE wants to do and trying to have as much fun as possible that he doesn’t see what it’s doing to his friend. Cam eventually has a freak out and ends up doing irreparable damage to the car – all because Ferris Bueller had to have his day off.

Bonnie, Rochelle and especially Nancy – The Craft
It’s tough starting at a new school and trying to fit in and a find a group of people you actually like. Sarah seems to find exactly that in a group of girls who fancy themselves witches. Everything seems to be going well at first – they all have fun together and their magic seems to actually be working, but then Nancy becomes power hungry, invokes the spirit of Manon and goes completely crazy. Bonnie and Rochelle turn against Sarah in favour of Nancy and torment her, but they soon learn the error of their ways. Nancy, however, keeps going and eventually tries to kill Sarah. Not what I’d call a BFF, would you?
