Festival hair tutorial

Celebs don't only go to red carpet events and 5 star restaurants. They're major fans of festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury, where they get to dress casually and let their hair down, literally.

We're obsessed with the latest, lalid back hair trend of Festival waves., which models like Kate Moss and Alexa Chung have been rocking recently. The look is all about moving away from perfectly styled waves and curls, and creating a more messy, unstyled look.

Luckily we've got celeb hairstylist David Gillson to tell us exactly how to perfect it.

1. Wash and towel dry your hair

Spray a good amount of mousse onto your hands and work into your hair with your head hanging down.

2. Wait until your hair is almost completely dry and divide into 4 sections

Section and clip the front (close to the crown), both sides and the back. You'll be making tight little twists close to your head, so keep it tight and clip it down.

3. Unclip and start blow drying

Dry the individual twisted pieces and remember to keep the twist as low as possible to ensure flat roots voluminous ends.

4. Release the twists

Run your fingers through your hair to loosen the twists. Spray some shine serum on your locks, and you're good to go!
