It's getting closer and closer to Halloween. Which means it's time for scary movies, sweets for the kids and dress up parties for the adults.

There are so many costume ideas that one could choose from but it seems we have forgotten about one of the most iconic and underrated characters in cinematic history, Morticia Addams (I said what I said). Didn't we all love her for her long black lace dresses, savage red nails, and her deathly pale skin?
Morticia knows the power of a signature look and let's not forget her iconic quotes too.

While Carolyn Jones originally played Morticia flawlessly, Anjelica Huston re-imagined the matriarch of the Addams family into an even fiercer woman and we'll be channeling Anjelica's version for this look.
The products
Naturally the products we'll be using are moody eyeshadows, eyeliner and lots of red lipstick.
First on the agenda? Her deathly pale skin. First use the lightest foundation you own. Then using white foundation, face paint and your moisturiser, blend. The moisturiser is preventing the makeup from getting too chalky.
This Stargazer white liquid foundation is the one. In order to get those high cheekbones, you will need to use eyeshadow as a means of contouring. Stick to a dark colour.
You can of course skip painting your face white and focus on her other features.
Next you want to focus on those iconic red lips. Choose a liquid lipstick that will be last through out the night, even if you meet your Gomez.
This M•A•C Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour is perfect to achieve the perfect Morticia red lips, it provides a splash of colour in a liquid-suede finish that lasts.

In order to achieve those perfect eyebrows you will need a black eyeshadow to fill them in and define them and we recommend NYX Professional Makeup Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Raven.
Onto the eyes. Morticia is known for her stunning smokey eye. We recommend the Flormar Professional Make-up Quartet Eye Shadows in Black.
The finishing touch? The red nails of course. We love Essie's Really Red nail colour.
