For some reason I don't see lots of bright colours on the red carpet at this year's red carpet.
After the Golden Globes and BAFTAs where attendees were clad in all-black to show their support for the Time's Up movement, I see stars dressing in muted tones.

Only time will tell if I'll be on the money but here are just a few of my predictions for this Sunday's Academy Awards red carpet:
Sally Hawkins
Nominated for her role as lead actress in The Shape of Water, she has a knack for quirky. Yet her Golden Globes gown (below) leaned more towards classic glamour, which I think she'll go for again at the Oscars.
My prediction:
This white Dior Couture dress.
Frances McDormand
Perhaps one of the best actresses of our time, nominated this year for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri she is not one for standing out on the red carpet. This printed dress was perhaps the riskiest fashion choice she's made, so lets assume something safe but still with a bit of pizzazz.
My prediction:
This Oscar de la Renta gown is made for her.
Mary J. Blige
Nominated for Mudbound, this talented singer and actress will most certainly not be an Oscars wallflower.
My prediction:
This Monique Lhuillier dress.
Margot Robbie
She was excellent in I, Tonya, and totally deserves an Oscar in my opinion. Margot loves to wear figure-hugging gowns that show off all her curves.
My prediction:
A classic Zuhair Murad gown.
Octavia Spencer
Nominated for The Shape of Water, this Oscar winner is sure to be as styling as ever on this year's red carpet.
My prediction:
I'd love to see her in one of these flowing wonders by dreamy designer Giambattista Valli.
Saoirse Ronan
This Irish lass is this generation's Streep. Nominated for Lady Bird, she is sure to wear Chanel as she almost always does.
My prediction:
Ideally I'd love to see her in this playful Chanel dress.
But for the Oscars she's sure to go for something more like this:
Meryl Streep
The matriarch of Hollywood, Meryl is nominated for the best actress due to her role in The Post.
I must say, I love her in a suit.
My prediction:
Hope she opts for something like this by Armani Prive.
