Age gaps really don't matter to these loved-up celebs

When it comes to falling in love, age really is nothing but a number.

Take Sean Penn. The Oscar-winner, who turns 60 this month, has just tied the knot with his girlfriend, Leila George, who at 28 is just one year younger than his daughter, Dylan Frances.

But the star, who has been married twice before (first to singer Madonna from 1985 to 1989 and then to actress Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010), doesn’t give two hoots.

He gushed about his “Covid wedding” on Monday’s Late Night with Seth Meyers saying they only had a few guests. They included his kids, Dylan and Hopper Jack (26), one of Leila’s brothers and “the country commissioner on Zoom”, who married them.

After Meyers pointed out such a small wedding sounded like a lot less stress, Sean, who is known for being a rather difficult character, quipped, “Let’s say there are socially liberating factors under Covid.”

Rumours of their nuptials swirled over the weekend when they were spotted wearing gold rings before Sean confirmed the news.

He and Leila, an aspiring actress, have been dating since 2016. She’s the daughter of Hollywood actors Vincent D’Onofrio and Greta Scacchi.

& At 78, Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford is 23 years older than his wife, Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart (55), who says his “humour” is what attracts her.
