Al Pacino (83) and his girlfriend, Noor Alfallah (29), the mother of his youngest child, haven't split up but they do have a court-approved custody agreement for their four-month-old son, Roman.
While Al and Noor's reps say the couple have not uncoupled - Noor and Al had dinner together the same day she filed her custody petition at court - they have formally agreed on child support, custody arrangements and medical expenses.
The veteran Hollywood star will pay $30 000 (R540 000) a month in child support, an annual payment of $15 000 (R270 000) for Roman's college savings account, a one-off $100 000 (R1,8m) payment and another $90 000 (R1,6m) at the end of the year "depending on his earnings", according to court papers.
It's understood that the R1,6m payment may be medical expenses which are not covered by the actor's health insurance. The R1,8m payment is believed to be for Noor to buy a home for herself and Roman.

Suspicions that the couple were splitting up began when Noor filed papers in September, petitioning the court for full custody of Roman.
This followed the new parents signing a “voluntary declaration of parentage” six days after Roman was born, confirming The Godfather star is the boy's biological father.
Legal experts have speculated that at 83, Al has agreed to custody and support arrangements in order to avoid the possibility of another messy custody battle being dragged out in court for the world to see.
Roman is Noor’s first child while Al, who's never been married, has a daughter, Julia Marie (34), with ex- Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia (22) with another ex, actress Beverly D'Angelo.
Beverly and Al had a drawn-out, year-long custody battle which was settled in 2004.
According to Al and Noor’s custody agreement, she will have primary custody of Roman and the Oscar winner will have “reasonable visitation” rights as well as being involved in decisions involving Roman's health care, education and religion.

Al, who was raised by a single mom after his father left his family when Al was a toddler, has said he's "never wanted to be like my dad".
“I wanted to be there. I have children. I’m responsible to them. I’m a part of their life. When I’m not, it’s upsetting to me and to them. So that’s part of the gestalt. And I get a lot from it. It takes you out of yourself.”
