Singer Billie Eilish and brother, songwriter and producer Finneas O’Connell, are a powerhouse duo.

The brother and sister team  at 26 and 22 years old, respectively are the youngest and second-youngest two-time Oscar winners.

They took home the award for Best Original Song at the 2024 Academy Awards for What Was I Made For? from the hit Barbie movie.

Sunday night's award is the second Oscar for the pair who also won in 2022, for their song No Time To Die, the title track of Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond.

Accepting the award at the weekend, Billie joked, “I had a nightmare about this last night".

She said she was “not expecting” to win again but was “so incredibly lucky and honored.”

Billie has previously spoken about her struggle to pen the lyrics of the award-winning song.

“It was about 8pm and I was like, ‘All right, well, I’m out of here. I’m going to go home. We’re done for the day. We tried,'” she said, but Finneas encouraged her to push on.

“It was just the most perfect example to me of true inspiration and connection. It was living in me that whole day, but it wasn’t coming out of me. We didn’t go into it knowing at all what we were going to make or if we were going to make anything. And it was just so clear that we needed to,” the Grammy-winning artist said.

Billie broke the record of actress Luise Rainer, who was 28 when she won her second lead actress award in 1938 for the drama The Good Earth after winning the same prize the previous year for The Great Ziegfeld.

Finneas, who is Billie's co-songwriter and producer, has said that his sister is not a fan of the typical recording process.

She doesn't like going to some big studio and having other co-writers "pretend to be a therapist for a couple hours," he explained.

"By default, we always make the good stuff together."

The two also have nine Grammy wins and two Golden Globe Awards.

Billie has described her brother as her best friend and he's constantly supported her, personally and professionally.

Finneas wouldn't have it any other way, he said in 2020, even though it means his solo career takes a backseat to collaborating with his sister.

What Was I Made For? dominated the 2024 Grammy Awards, winning Song Of The Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.

“I’m grateful for this song and for this movie and the way that it made me feel," Billie said.

“And this goes out to everyone who was affected by the Barbie movie and how incredible it is."
