Britney Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, are putting up a united front amid reports that their relationship is on the rocks.

Tension between the couple, who were married last June, is running so high that their bodyguards have had to step in when things got physical.

Brit (41) is said to be fuming that Sam (29), an aspiring actor, seems to be putting his career ahead of their marriage.

“Sam has been out of town a lot because he's been filming outside of Los Angeles and it does cause issues because Britney doesn't like being alone," an insider told the Daily Mail.

“She also thinks that Sam has been putting his movie career first, which is causing some resentment, because while she's supportive of his career, a part of her feels like she's the reason that his career took off in the first place."

The pair have reportedly sought couples counselling and Brit posted new pictures show them kissing passionately in the driveway of their home.

“I feel so blessed to be with such an incredible husband who inspires me every day,” Britney captioned one of the pics.

Sam also took to social media to defend his wife following a new documentary about Britney's life after conservatorship.

The doccie, called Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom, it’s claimed that Sam sleeps with one eye open because Britney sleeps with a knife under her bed.

“The last thing I want to do is speak on my wife's behalf, I will never do that,” he said in the video clip.

“I respect her privacy, that's why I don't talk as much. But I found it absolutely disgusting for the people that were in her life at the time when she didn't have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs."

It's not just her marriage that's in the spotlight. Her relationship with her sons Jayden (16) and Sean (17), is also reportedly hanging by a thread.

It's been reported that the boys want to move to Hawaii, where their father, Kevin Federline, who has full custody of them is planning to relocate.

Her sons have made no secret of the fact that they're embarrassed by their mom and they didn’t attend her wedding last year.

Britney is yet to give her blessing to their planned relocation but an insider says she's working on repairing her relationship with the boys – whom she has not seen in a year.
