Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Baby Jack may be gone, but his family is determined to keep his memory alive, even if their methods are a tad extreme.

In September 2020, Chrissy and John shared that they'd lost their son, who they'd named Jack, 20 weeks into her pregnancy. Chrissy reportedly had a complicated pregnancy, which included a partial placenta abruption diagnosis.

The 35-year-old ex-model and cookbook author says she will never forget the conversations she had with kids Luna (5) and Miles (3) after her loss.

"They saw the experience of the home ultrasounds and the nervousness of 'This isn't going well,'" she recalled. "Or it was me going to the bathroom, and Luna would be at the door when I came out, and she would say, 'Are you bleeding still?' She knew everything. So, there was going to be no escaping it, even if I wanted to."

But the Lip Sync Battle host said it wasn't until they received the baby's ashes that the kids "started to be able to say, 'OK, this happened. Here he is now. He didn't make it.'"

Speaking on podcast Scary Mommy, the said that her family now travels with Jack’s ashes.

"Whether we go on a vacation or something, [Luna and Miles] always say, 'Don't forget baby Jack.' And then I have to pack him up," the Thai-American star says. "And then we get to where we're going, they're like, 'Oh my gosh, he must be thirsty.' This might sound crazy to people, but they'll put a little glass of water next to his little box of ashes. And they really love being a part of it."

Earlier this week Chrissy marked 100 days of sobriety by reflecting on changes she has made in her life since the cyberbullying controversy in which she was accused of posting harmful tweets.

"I'm actually a hundred days sober today and I'm so excited," said on the Today Show. "I feel so good, I feel very clear-headed. I feel like I've done the work and I just hope these people can forgive and be able to welcome the fact that hopefully they've seen me be better."

The former cover girl admits that prior to kicking the habit, she had not gone more than a day or two without alcohol since she started drinking in her early 20s.

"I've been struggling with it honestly, for the past couple of years when I knew it was kind of an issue," she said. "Just even like doing interviews and things like I would think I needed a glass of wine, and then it just started to get embarrassing like at award shows and things and everyone memes it and thinks it's funny and cute that you fell asleep or something."

She said the way she was acting in public was "embarrassing" when she drank, especially around her Grammy-winner husband.

Her decision to get sober came after Chrissy issued a lengthy apology for cyberbullying in May, writing that there was "no excuse" for her behaviour and admitting that she was "a troll, full stop."

"I think you learn so much in the moments where you do lose so much, you lose it all, your world is kind of turned upside down," she told US talk show host Hoda Kotb.

"For me it was a big moment of, 'Wow, I need to find out how I can be better, how I can grow from this, learn from this.'"

Chrissy, who recently authored the new cookbook Cravings: All Together, said she has tried to reach out to all those she targeted on social media to apologise if they are open to listening.
