Just last year she announced that the 2023 SAG Awards would likely be her last awards show as an actress, but Christina Applegate surprised fans when she appeared at this year’s Emmy Awards to present the award for best supporting actress in a comedy series.
The actress, who uses a walking cane to manage her multiple sclerosis symptoms, received a standing ovation as she was escorted onto the stage by Anthony Anderson, who hosted the event at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
“Thank you so much. Oh my God, you're totally shaming me with disability by standing up,” she joked with the audience, before adding, “Body not by Ozempic".
