Coco Austin bathes six-year-old daughter in kitchen sink – and the internet blows up!

Her unconventional parenting style has been known to raise eyebrows – now Coco Austin is taking flak for soaking her six-year-old daughter, Chanel, in the kitchen sink.

“The sink is easiest when you have to be fast,” Coco captioned a video she shared on Instagram showing her child scrolling through her iPad while in the makeshift bath.

The 43-year-old reality star and model, who's married to rapper and actor Ice-T, went on to share pictures of herself curling her hair as she and her daughter got ready for a fashion show. Attending the fashion show of costume designer Patricia Field would be the little girl's “first as a prospector”, her mother boasted.

But not everyone was buying her hygiene hack.

“Y'all still treating her like an infant,” someone wrote on social media.

“She’s too old to be in the sink . . . that was really awkward to see,” another added.

Meanwhile, others were in full favour of her “amazing” idea and gushed over Coco’s “deep” and likely expensive sink.

“The kitchen sink saves you from back pain,” someone pointed out. “Imagine how much water it actually saves. Plus, then you never have to bend down to help her.”

It's not the first time Coco and Ice-T have made headlines for their controversial parenting decisions. In the past, they've been slammed for breastfeeding Chanel and pushing her around in a pram.

Coco was quick to silence haters when pictures of her breast-feeding her then five-year-old daughter emerged last year.

“It’s a big bonding moment for a mother and child,” she told Us magazine.

“Why take that away from her? If she doesn’t want it, all right, that’s where you stop it. But I’m not just going to say no.”

She went on to explain that her daughter eats steak and hamburgers, but every now again she “likes a little snack.”

Ice-T defended his wife, saying it was a way for Chanel  “to get close to her mom”.

Coco has also shared that she and her husband allow their daughter to sleep in their bed whenever she wants to.

“We call it the family bed,” she says. “We have Chanel and all four dogs.”
