It seems Ellen DeGeneres just can’t catch a break.
Not only has the beloved talk show host been dogged by claims of a toxic work environment on the set of her show, her home in California in the US was ransacked last month, reportedly by someone from her inner circle.
It’s unclear whether Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi (47) were home at the time, but authorities believe the incident was an inside job, The Sun reports.

“If it had been a case of outsiders coming in and breaking and entering, I’d have alerted you to be on the lookout and lock up everything,” a newsletter from the Montecito Association to residents of the upscale area reads.
“According to our very helpful Sheriff Lt. Arnoldi, that appears to be an inside job.”
Ellen’s R470 million home was robbed of expensive jewellery and watches.
Residents of Montecito, which include Prince Harry and Meghan, Oprah Winfrey and Ariana Grande, have been reassured that an investigation is ongoing, and their safety is being prioritised, Page Six reports.
Ellen (62) was recently spotted enjoying a lunch with comedian and actor Kevin Hart. This comes after an ex-employee of the Ellen Show described life on set as “toxic”.
According to Mirror Online, the anonymous staffer was a camera assistant who likened working with Ellen to the blockbuster film The Devil Wears Prada.
The film stars Meryl Streep, who plays Miranda Priestly, the villainous editor-in-chief of a high-end fashion magazine.
“I worked there for a little over a year,” the woman reveals.
“At the show there is a culture of competition. You are constantly reminded that the show is this behemoth, and it will be there with or without you.
"It's kind of like The Devil Wears Prada. Everyone is trying to make it to the [end of the] year. It's just a badge of honour to have that and have it on your resume.”
The Ellen Show is set to return to screens next month. People confirms the 62-year-old will still be the host.
