We know him as the short-tempered TV chef who never misses a change to berate, belittle and bellow at hapless fellow chefs and restaurateurs – and now he’s doing that to ordinary people too.

The 54-year-old Brit has expressed his impatience with people who assume that his 19-month-old son, Oscar, is his grandson.

Gordon, who has five children with Tana (46) – Megan (22), twins Holly and Jack (20), Matilda (19) and Oscar – spoke out about his frustration at people assuming that Oscar is Jack’s son.

“The worst thing is, when I’m walking with Tana and Jack, and everyone is looking at Jack as if Oscar is his son,” he told Men’s Health UK recently.

The potty-mouthed chef said he’s often told, “You must be so proud to be a grandad”, but he’s getting tired of it.

“F*** off, he’s ours. If I get called ‘grandad’ one more f***ing time, I’m going to hit the roof!”

Tana, who spoke to Hello! magazine about lockdown life in the Ramsay household, said Oscar is a blessing and takes after his dad. “He definitely has a strong character, let’s put it that way! He’s hilarious. It’s a blessing to us all,” she said.

Tana, who had a miscarriage in 2016, says that “being an older parent and having done this before, you have a way of sitting back and relaxing more and laughing with them (the children). The other thing for me is, I had four of age four and under, so to have one is certainly easier,” she added.

Besides enjoying parenthood, Gordon has always been passionate about keeping fit, and his children are too, he told Men’s Health.

“My son, Jack, did his first Ironman last year. I got all the kids entered into the London Marathon, raising money for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Tana is going to commit to her 10th marathon. I’ve got my 15th London coming up, two LAs and five ultras. It’s starting to rub off on them,” he said.

Gordan took aim at overweight chefs, saying that they aren’t to be trusted when it comes to getting a good plate of food. “Trust the skinny chefs because the fat ones have eaten all of the good food,” he quipped.

The Hell’s Kitchen chef came under fire from online critics when he announced the opening of his Gordon Ramsay Burger restaurant in luxury London store, Harrods – with a menu that includes an £80 hamburger – that’s about R1 600!

This is his first Ramsay Burger restaurant outside the USA.

“Trust me, this is going to be a burger experience like no other as we’ve really elevated our patties using the most incredible mix of the UK’s best cuts of meat,” Gordon said discussing the new opening in an Instagram video he posted

The burger will include a beef patty, seared wagyu sirloin, truffle pecorino cheese, cep mayonnaise (made with boletes mushrooms) and black truffle.

And yes, fries are extra – priced from around R150 a portion.
