If there's one thing we know for sure about Britney Spears, it's that if she’s unhappy about something, she’ll let us know.

The Toxic singer wasn’t impressed by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown’s remark that she'd be keen to play Brit if a biopic of her life is ever made.

“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me,” Millie said on The Drew Barrymore Show.

“Just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger ... I don’t know her, but when I look up pictures of her I feel like I could tell her story in the right way  and hers only.”

The 18-year-old Enola Holmes star told Drew Barrymore that Britney is the only “real person” she’d be interested in playing.

While some showbiz legends might've been flattered by Millie's comments, Britney slammed the idea.

“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead !!!” the 40-year-old Grammy winner wrote in an Instagram post. “Although it’s pretty f**king clear they preferred me dead. I guess my family is going to lock their doors now.”

Millie isn’t the first to have come under fire from Brit, who’s now coming up to the one-year anniversary of her emancipation from a longtime conservatorship.

Over the past few months, the singer, who’s tried to forge a happy, independent life for herself, has had several outbursts on the socials.

She’s poured out her feelings about her family and their treatment of her, called out her estranged parents, Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears and has lashed out at America for "humiliating" her with relentless documentaries. She’s even burst into tears on camera while busting a move.

“This woman needs help before it’s too late,” one concerned fan commented on the post, adding, “if you love this woman stop encouraging this behaviour.”

“It’s not a breakdown a**holes, it’s a release that I’ve needed for a very long time now !!!” Britney clapped back.

While Millie is yet to respond, most followers were convinced the actress didn't mean anything hurtful by her remarks and had only the best intentions.

“We love you Britney. Also, I think Millie Bobby Brown meant it as a compliment that she wanted to play you in a movie and that she’d honour you properly, don’t be offended Queen!” one fan said.

“Care to explain why you think you need to be dead for someone to portray you in a movie?” another shared. “Millie Bobby Brown is a fan and supporter of you and she does not deserve this kind of shade.”
