Actress Kelly Preston (57) who died on Sunday fought her two-year battle with breast cancer in private..

In an interview with the Daily Mail, her brother Chris Palzis opened up about her death and how the family was at her bedside.

“We're still really grieving so I don't have anything eloquent to say right now,” an emotional Chris said.

“We're just all very gutted over this. If I had to say something that would pretty much summarise it.”

Chris (51) revealed that the family, including Kelly's husband John Travolta and the couple's children, Ella (20) and Benjamin (9), were by her bedside in Florida when she passed away.

He and the American model shared the same mother, Linda Carlson. Linda married Chris’ father after Kelly’s dad died when she was three years old.

Chris said he’ll miss his sister, who was the “light” of their family.

Earlier this week, John Travolta broke the news of his wife’s passing on Instagram.

“She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,” the actor wrote in his post.

“My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Centre, all the medical centres that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side.

“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.”

The Jerry Maguire star’s daughter, Ella, also spoke about how inspiring her mom was.

“I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful and loving as you," Elle wrote in a tribute to her mom.

“Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy.

“Thank you for being there for me no matter what. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your help and thank you for making this world a better place.

“You have made life so beautiful and I know you will continue to do so always. I love you so much mama.”
