When his wife couldn't join him on holiday, this romantic guy from the Philippines found a clever way to ensure she'd be able to be there in spirit.
Raymond and Joanne Fortunado were looking forward to crystal-clear waters, cocktails and delicious cuisine while vacationing on one of their country's tropical island.
But when Joanne, a freelance model, found out she'd been booked for a modelling gig, duty called and she broke the news to her husband that he'd be travelling solo.
Although personal trainer Raymond was disappointed, he came up with a unique way to ensure his wife still got to share in his adventure: he took along a stuffed pillow with Joanne's face on it and posted pictures of his daily excursions on social media.
Holding the pillow replica of his wife close, he sat on the plane and gazed out at the clouds, went swimming in the sea and even enjoyed a bit of kayaking.
“Don’t leave your valuable things unattended,” he captioned a picture that showed his pillow on a baggage conveyor belt.
Raymond’s gesture was all about honouring a promise he made to his wife that she'll be with him wherever he goes, sources say.
Ah, what a guy!
