His Levi's jeans hug his curves as he cradles his pregnant belly on the latest issue of Glamour UK.

Logan Brown recently became the first pregnant transgender man to pose on the cover of a magazine when he was featured in the June issue.

The 27-year-old and his partner Bailey J Mills, a non-binary drag performer in the UK, were both shocked and reluctant to go public with the pregnancy news but now they're proud parents.

The couple welcomed their daughter Nova into the world in May and they can't imagine life without her now.

Logan admits that at first he felt that the pregnancy erased his masculinity but he and his partner grew to embrace the opportunity to start a family.

“I never wanted kids and then when it happened, it really tested me. It’s the most feminine thing that I could do so when I found out, it was like my manhood that I’ve been working so hard on was just taken away from me, it was really weird,” he says in a Gossip Gays podcast.

It took him some time to wrap his head around it.

"Now that I’m pregnant, I actually don’t feel feminine, I feel like a pregnant man,” he told Glamour.

Logan was born a woman and when he began transitioning, he started using testosterone. He had surgery to remove his breasts but his female reproductive organs remained in tact.

He fell pregnant after his first anniversary with Bailey when he was off his hormone medication because he'd had liver and lung issues. Logan had to pause his hormone treatment until his body healed and it was during this time when his menstrual cycle started.

“I spent so much time feeling shame and being hard on myself until I thought, ‘You can enjoy this process or make it really difficult for yourself.’ And I kind of got connected to that. As a queer couple we’re very lucky to have a baby that’s biologically both ours," he says.

"I’m a pregnant man and I’m proud to do what we’re doing."

Though he learnt to embrace his growing belly, it was tough having to explain his pregnancy to others. Even during labour, he says the medical team misgendered him.

“It’s not my job to educate people, but because I’m so passionate about existing and trans people, I feel like I need to get my story out there. And it’s a positive story,” he says.

He knows just how unusual his story is and says he's been inundated with questions from people on social media about how he and Bailey plan to raise Nova. Although they've decided to use the title her/she, their main priority is to bring her up in a home where she knows that she can express herself in whatever way she would like.

“She will be extremely loved and never judged and hopefully will grow up knowing how to treat others with care and love,” he says.

Logan is adapting to his life as a new parent and is writing a children’s book called My Daddy’s Belly about his experience as a pregnant man.

Having been trolled during his pregnancy and told that men can't get pregnant, he hopes the book will help clear up misconceptions about trans people.

“We’re real living people. At the end of the day, I'm a trans pregnant man and I do exist," he says.
