You could describe this as fast food on another level – a vending machine that can pop out a burger in six minutes once you’ve decided what toppings you’d like to add to the 100% pasture-raised Angus beef patty.
This isn’t the realm of sci-fi – this new piece of machinery called Roboburger at a mall in New Jersey in the US is the first hot-food vending machine approved by the US National Sanitation Foundation, which monitors food and water quality.
Robotics are used to cook the beef and it involves a five-step process. You use a touch screen to decide on toppings and get a fully packaged meal at the end.
