It's one of the most common objects in nature but for one artist the humble leaf represents a world of creative opportunity. A Japanese artist known only by the Instagram handle lito_leafart has gone viral after sharing his intricate leaf cut-outs, which are nothing short of jaw-dropping.  

On a single leaf he’s able to conjure finely wrought works of art, astonishing in detail and magical in their subject matter. Subjects range from an anteater foraging for ants to a rock band in full cry, dolphins gambolling and a chameleon copying ladybirds.
