Puzzle fans ahoy! Here's exactly how to get started on YOU's great games offering

A delightful distraction, a much-needed mini-break, a fast and fabulous fix. These and more are all ways to describe how people feel about playing their favourite games on our new puzzle platform, youpuzzles.co.za.

You can play on your phone, tablet or PC – all you need is an internet connection. Here’s how you can get started but be warned: once you start it will be hard to stop!

HOW TO START

Go to youpuzzles.co.za. You can either go directly to where all the puzzle bundles are available, or you can play a bundle with 15 puzzles for free! To play for free, click on TRY THESE FOR FREE. To immediately buy bundles, click on PLAY NOW. 

Getting started.

To play the free bundle, you will need to go through the process of ADD TO CART as if you were buying a bundle, except you won’t actually have to make a payment. 

HOW TO BUY BUNDLES

Go to ALL PUZZLES in the menu. Select from a range of different bundles and choose the ones you want by clicking ADD TO CART. You can add as many bundles as you want to buy.

Click on PROCEED TO CHECKOUT once you’re ready to complete your purchase.

You’ll be taken to a payment page. 

NEW CUSTOMERS

If you’re new to the site, you’ll need to first register to gain access to the free and paid for packages. Registration starts as soon as you add a bundle to your cart and follow the checkout process. 

First fill in your billing details for payment to be processed. This includes adding your email address as a username and creating a password for your account. Read the terms and conditions and check the box. 

Then click on PLACE ORDER. An account will automatically be generated for you on the platform. 

RETURNING CUSTOMERS

If you’re a returning player, simply login and purchase the package you want.

You can pay securely by using your credit card, by EFT or by using SnapScan.

You now have a selection of 15 free word search, codebreakers, sudokus, video and quick crossword puzzles to play. To access the free puzzles, you will need to add the bundle to your cart and follow the purchase process.

Once you are on the billing page, simply PROCEED TO CHECKOUT. New users will need to register to access the bundle while returning players can login with their details. 

The total amount will be R0 so you will not pay a fee for the package. You will now be registered for future package purchases as well.

The free puzzles will be added to your cart but won't cost you.

GET PUZZLING

Once you’ve purchased your puzzle pack, you’re on your way.

- From here, you can either get help, save your progress to return at a later stage, share with a friend or clear the entire puzzle. There’s no time limit to complete the puzzle after you’ve registered and paid. 

- Add a friend to play with, taking turns to complete the puzzle. 

- Get hints or reveal answers if you’re struggling. 

- Edit settings for the specific puzzle to your preference.

Once started on a puzzle, you can save your progress and complete it later.

The settings tab allows you to edit your puzzle preferences.

PLAYING WITH A FRIEND 

One of the coolest social features of YOU Puzzles is being able to play a game with a friend.

Both of you need to have registered on the site and bought the same bundle containing the games you want to play together. And both of you have to be signed in to play together. Here’s how to get going:

- Go to the puzzle then click on the person icon above left of the puzzle.

You can invite a friend to play with.

- Copy the link and send it to the person you want to play with or share via Facebook and start playing.

- A blue chat bubble pops up at the bottom right and is available for you to keep in touch throughout the game.

BUYING GIFT VOUCHERS 

You might not be the biggest fan, but if there’s someone in your life who’s addicted to them you can buy YOU puzzles as a gift in the form of a voucher.

You choose how much the voucher is worth (the minimum is R40).

You can have the gift voucher sent to yourself to send on to them, or you can send it to them directly with a little message from you.

Here’s how to buy:

- On the home page, click on Buy As A Gift.

- Enter the amount of the voucher you’d like to purchase and click on Add to Cart to checkout and pay.

- Complete the billing details (name, email address and payment details).

- Select if you want to have the voucher sent to yourself or the recipient (choose in the section just opposite the billing details box).

Fill in all the necessary details and check out.

- Pay with your credit card.

Did you know?

You can customise your puzzles to your liking. Just click on the Settings tab on the top right of your screen for a range of options such as error check mode or dark mode.

If you don’t finish a puzzle the portal will remember where you left off next time you log in.
