Her primary school daughter had been complaining that she was being bullied by her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.

But the actions of this mom from Potchefstroom in North West unleashed a scandal in the normally quiet university town, culminating in a dramatically tearful scene at the local police station – and possibly a trip to the local magistrate’s court.

There’s been plenty of high drama: three highly upset 13-year-olds and their incensed parents, a smear campaign in the form of a handful of notes, allegations of bullying and one mysterious gift package.
