A pipe welder swopped metal tongs for curling tongs when he treated his grandmother to a lockdown salon day.
Bobbe Windham (86) from Florida in the US usually enjoys a weekly visit to her beauty salon but since self-isolation she’s been in quarantine at home without access to her pick-me-up.
Not allowing his grandmother to miss out on some glamour in her life, her loving grandson Matthew Stewart (35) gave Bobbe her very own beauty treat.
Pipe welder Matthew carefully washed and styled his gran’s hair and Bobbe was thrilled with the results.
“We’re staying strong through all of this. We did some social distancing for a couple of weeks which was very hard,” Matthew said.
As the Covid-19 cases in their area have now stabilised, the pair are spending time together again.
“We’re both staying positive and making the best of the situation,” he added.
