A frustrated vegan has filed a lawsuit against her neighbours for braaiing in their back yards.
Cilla Carden, from Perth in Australia, complained that the smell of meat and smoke coming from her neighbour’s yard was ruining her quality of life, News.com.au reports.
The Australian said that her neighbours, Toan Vu, his wife and children are doing it intentionally.
"It's deliberate," Cille said. "All I can smell is fish. I can't enjoy my backyard."
The woman has been in a court battle with the family since 2018 and her claims have since been rejected by the Supreme Court of Western Australia for the right of appeal due to the lack of evidence, USA Today reports.
"What they are doing is living in their backyard and their home as a family," the State Administrative Tribunal of Western Australia said in a statement.
Cilla has also reportedly complained about the neighbour who lives on the opposite side of the Vu family, Time reports.
“Ms Carden’s demands were proven to be not reasonable and indeed were to the detriment of the other owners’ ability to enjoy their lots in a reasonable and acceptable manner,” the neighbour, who wants to stay anonymous, said.
Cilla said she’d continue her fight and recently filed a 600-page appeal.
“I’m a good person. I just want peace and quiet,” she said.
