Wasn’t it lovely, the platinum jubilee? All those royals gathered in one place, the feathers, the finery, the pomp, the ceremony – and a certain little prince who hogged the limelight.

Forget Harry and Meghan. Forget Prince Andrew and his “Covid diagnosis”. The queen may have been the undisputed star of the show but after a four-day weekend of celebrations, Prince Louis was all anyone could talk about. 

Louis on the Buckingham Palace balcony, pulling faces, covering his ears when the planes zoomed overhead, charming everyone with his interactions with his great-grandmother.
