Prince William (41) has revealed the pop band his youngest son is crazy about – One Republic.

The royal father of three made the surprise confession while talking to the American pop-rock band at his annual Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in Singapore.

After first thanking the Grammy-winning band for performing, calling them “amazing”, he went on to reveal that his five-year-old is a huge fan.

“Louis, my youngest, loves your songs,” the heir to the British throne told the Rescue Me band backstage at the event, which is held annually for environmentally sustainable projects.

As for his oldest, Prince George, he said the 10-year-old is interested in Australian rock band AC/DC.

Despite their royal status, William and his wife Kate, Princess of Wales, have “consciously” set out to give their children a sense of normality, a palace insider told People in July.

“As far as we are concerned within our family unit, we are a normal family,” William said in an April 2016 BBC interview. “I love my children in the same way any father does.”

‘Those children look pretty happy with life. A lot of it is the stabilising normality Kate brigs - and that's how she grew up. William absolutely loves it’

Kate (41) grew up in a middle-class neighbourhood in the small English country village of Bucklebury with her younger siblings, Pippa and James. Before she started her party business, her mother Carole (68) was a flight attendant while her father, Michael (74) was a flight dispatcher.

In July Kate told a young girl who’d presented her with flowers during a visit to a factor in Lancaster that Charlotte’s favourite past-times are just like many other little girls around the world – ballet and tap dancing.

And while she and William lived at Kensington Palace before moving to Windsor, she’d often be spotted taking her sons to the local trampoline park in south-west London.

“She really blended in like any other mum. She’d take her shoes off like everyone else and walk around the edge of the trampolines following her sons.”
